Made with Ceylon cinnamon bark from Indonesia, these cinnamon sticks have the delicate flavor profile of real cinnamon.
Most cinnamon available in grocery stores is actually cassia, a cheaper and more pungent relative of Ceylon cinnamon, which is the only "true" cinnamon. Because of its subtler flavor, Ceylon cinnamon is best suited to sweet recipes, although the cinnamon traditionally used in Mexican and South Asian cuisine is also Ceylon cinnamon. Cinnamon sticks can be used to garnish hot beverages, and for infusing liquids.
