Rich, aromatic and versatile, our Madagascar Grade A vanilla beans are ideal for baking, desserts, infusions and making your own vanilla extract.
These Vanilla planifolia beans are selected for their aroma, flavour and flexibility, then vacuum sealed to help protect their quality until you are ready to use them.
Why Choose Our Madagascar Vanilla Beans?
Grade A Madagascar vanilla beans — Supple, aromatic beans suited to both everyday and professional use.
14–18 cm in length — Generously sized whole beans with plenty of seeds and flavour throughout the pod.
Vacuum sealed for freshness — Packed in BC to help preserve aroma, moisture and quality.
Suggested Use
For Baking: Split the bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds for cakes, cookies, custards, pastry creams and frostings.
For Desserts: Add the seeds to ice cream, crème brûlée, panna cotta, whipped cream or cheesecake.
For Infusions: Use whole or split beans to flavour cream, milk, syrups, sugar or other liquids.
For Homemade Vanilla Extract: Add whole or split vanilla beans to alcohol and allow them to extract over time for your own homemade vanilla extract.
How to Use a Vanilla Bean
Using a whole vanilla bean is simple:
Place the bean on a cutting board.
Slice it lengthwise with a sharp knife.
Open the pod and scrape out the tiny vanilla seeds with the back of the knife.
Add the seeds directly to your recipe.
Don't throw away the empty pod. It still contains plenty of aroma and can be used to infuse sugar, cream, milk or other liquids.

How to Store Vanilla Beans
Keep unopened beans in their original vacuum-sealed packaging until needed.
Once opened, store them in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dark place away from heat and direct sunlight. Avoid refrigeration, as prolonged cold storage can negatively affect the beans.
Whole Vanilla Beans vs. Vanilla Extract
Whole vanilla beans are a good choice when vanilla is a prominent part of the finished recipe or when you want visible vanilla seeds.
For everyday baking and recipes where convenience matters more than visible seeds, our Pure Madagascar Vanilla Extract provides an easy-to-measure alternative.

Hello Brandon, you reached out to us via email as well about the missing product, and with a bit of a delay we were able to get your beans to you, with some extra freebies to hopefully make up for the inconvenience. Thank you for addressing this issue and we hope you will enjoy our products!
I received the beans. They arrived so quickly. I plan on using them to make Vanilla to give out as Christmas gifts. Thank you so much
Arrived properly packaged, and could smell the Intense and amazing scent through the package! Was still sealed well and arrived as expected. I purchased to make my own Vanilla Extract at home, so won’t be able to comment on actual flavor quality. However if they taste anything like they smelled I’m in for a real treat several months from now!
Was very happy to find a Canadian supplier of vanilla beans. These are very much the best I have used. These two batches of vanilla are going to be awesome in about six months or so. Or when I run out of the last of the vanilla from my last batch.
Thank you.
Quality vanilla beans. Made extract and loved the results, so I ordered more vanilla beans! Wonderful fragrance and flavour.
Quick shipping and love that you are a Canadian business. Will purchase more spices from you again. Thanks!
