Made with pink peppercorns from Indonesia.
Despite the name, pink peppercorns are actually unrelated to other peppercorns. While the commonly used black pepper is native to the Malabar coast of India, pink peppercorns originated in Peru. They have a different style of heat than black or white pepper—something closer to chilies, with a fruity flavor. Pink pepper can be used to add variety to recipes that call for other kinds of pepper, or can be treated like an intense dried fruit, and eaten sprinkled on cheese and crackers.
